Mission and Values<\/h1>\n

First Lutheran Church Youth Ministry Mission Statement The youth ministry of First Lutheran Church will provide a loving community which guides and accompanies our young people on their Christian journeys and inspires joyful service to God and others. Statement of Values \u201cThe first [commandment] is, \u2018. . . you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.\u2019 The second is this, \u2018You shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u2019 There is no other commandment greater than these.\u201d \u2013Mark 12: 30, 31<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

First Lutheran offers many opportunities for students grades 6-12 to get involved.\u00a0These opportunities allow youth to build a relationship with God, grow in faith,\u00a0<\/span>create lasting friendships, serve the Lord\u00a0and, of course, <\/span>HAVE FUN!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Confirmation<\/h2> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Confirmation is a two year commitment for 7th and 8th graders to meet with our Senior Pastor to discuss Lutheran Theology including: Martin Luther, Creeds, Prayers, Old and New Testament and many more. This is a time for students to acknowledge their baptism\u00a0through an Affirmation of Faith. During each class students read from the Bible, discuss a topic, put on a skit, quiz show and other connecting activities.\u00a0Location -Open Tomb Youth Room<\/em><\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
